Dr Józef Aleksiewicz ran orthopedic clinic and factory of orthopaedic aids and prostheses at 2 Friedrichów St. in Lviv in years 1912-1930. In 1921 he was appointed Surgeon General of the spa in Iwonicz-Zdrój. In 1930 he opened "Sanato" - sanatorium treating cases of osteo-articular tuberculosis.
